ACCS SMS Terms and Conditions
Purpose
This page provides the terms and conditions regarding SMS messaging communications from the Alabama Community College System Office (“We”, “ACCS”).
The Alabama Community College System Office sends text messages using a SMS messaging service to communicate with prospective students, community and industry collaborators, and ACCS alumni about application and enrollment details, events, reminders, updates and other important information. Subscribing to the service is voluntary and is not required to apply for or to gain admission to any ACCS college. The service provides you with information via text messaging regarding your expressed interest or experience with ACCS,
Opt-in
Prospective students or Alabama Community College System Office collaborators may opt-in to receiving text messages (i.e., SMS messages) by selecting YES to the prompt “I would like to receive text message updates regarding ACCS offerings” when submitting the Alabama Community College System Office inquiry form. You may choose NO to opt-out. You may also opt out at any time by replying STOP to any text message from the ACCS.
Messaging Cost
Standard messaging and data rates from your wireless carrier may apply. By opting-in to receive SMS messages, you acknowledge that you are responsible for any carrier fees, including data plan charges, text message charges, tolls, out-of-area roaming, and other charges. The frequency of messages varies per month depending on your student status and actions. Please check with your mobile operator for more details on receiving text messages (SMS).
