(Montgomery, AL)-We are excited to announce that registration is open for the new Registered Nursing (RN) program at Trenholm State.  Applications will be accepted through June 10, 2019, for the fall 2019 semester. The new associate’s degree in nursing (ADN) at Trenholm State will give students a solid foundation of the duties and skills needed to perform on the job.  Graduates will be poised to enter a field where demand is growing daily for skilled healthcare professionals.

The new RN program will blend classwork with hands-on training. Clinical experiences will be provided at area hospitals, healthcare agencies in adult health, maternal health, child health, orthopedics, geriatrics, psychiatric, and other areas in the healthcare field.  The program’s curriculum consists of five consecutive semesters and will begin each fall. It is a limited entry program, and applicants must meet minimum requirements by the announced application deadline date to be considered for admission. Graduates of this program are eligible to apply to take the National Council Licensure Examination (NCLEX-RN).

According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, the number of registered nurses employed in Alabama, in May 2017, was 49,290, and the average annual RN salary in Alabama was $57,890. For more information, please call 334-420-4200 or visit our website at www.trenholmstate.edu.
