Course Description:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

This course offers a concise overview of combustion and venting basics, with a focus on understanding the impact of air sealing on natural draft combustion appliances. Participants will learn how to identify combustion zones, create “worst case” depressurization scenarios, conduct CAZ tests, and identify corrective actions. Each student will have hands-on experience conducting a CAZ test.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Upon completion of the course, participants will be able to:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  • Understand the fundamentals of combustion and venting.
    • Recognize the effects of air sealing on natural draft combustion appliances.<\/li><\/ul>
      • Identify combustion zones within a building.<\/li><\/ul>
        • Create “worst case” depressurization scenarios for combustion zones.<\/li><\/ul>
          • Conduct a CAZ test and interpret the results.<\/li><\/ul>\n
