Public Safety Training
Advanced Active Shooter
Participants will have an opportunity to learn tactics, techniques, and participate in associated exercises consisting of:
- Single Officer Response to Active Shooter(s)
- Multiple Officer Response to Active Shooter(s)
- Medical Response to Active Shooter Victims
- Hands-On Mechanical Breaching
- School/Mass Transit Bus Assaults
- Critical Decision-Making
Participants in this course will need to bring the following:
- Duty Gear
- Body Armor
- Eye Protection
- Gloves (Hard Knuckle or Tactical Type)
Additional Instructions:
- Participants will wear duty gear and body armor during training and exercises. Participants will wear eye protection and/or gloves when appropriate while conducting training and participant in exercises.
- PARTICIPANTS WILL LEAVE WEAPONS, AMMUNITION, AND TASER DEVICES IN THEIR VEHICLES. THESE ITEMS ARE NOT PERMITTED DURING THE COURSE OF TRAINING OR WHILE CONDUCTING EXERCISES.
CEU Credits: This course provides six (6) Hours APOSTC CEU credit.
