Developing Legally Defensible Policies and Procedures

The objective of this course is to enable the participants to develop, write, revise, and implement legally defensible policies and procedures for their organizations and to understand the importance of having legally defensible policies and procedures in place within their organizations. Participants will be able to analyze and apply key legal principles and court rulings that influence the development and implementation of law enforcement agency policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with constitutional standards and reducing liability at all levels of the organization.
