Latent Print Recovery
Course Objective
Upon Completion Of The Course, The Participant Will Be Able To:
- Identify Characteristics of Fingerprints
- Roll Fingerprint Comparison Samples
- Develop Latent Prints Using Black Powder
- Develop Latent Prints Using Magnetic Powder
- Develop Latent Prints Using Fluorescent Powder
- Develop Latent Prints Using Ninhydrine
- Develop Latent Prints Using Genetian Violet
- Develop Latent Prints Using Acitified Peroxide
- Develop Latent Prints Using Small Particle Reagent
- Develop Latent Prints Using Super Glue
*PARTICIPANTS MUST BE EMPLOYED BY A LAW ENFORCEMENT AGENCY TO ATTEND THIS COURSE*
APOSTC Continuing Education Credit:
- This Training Provides Twelve (12) Hours of APOSTC CEU Credits
- This Training Provides Twelve (12) Hours of POST CEU Credits for Outside States (If Approved By Your State)
Important Notes and Required Equipment:
- Participants must attend both days of training to receive full CEU credits for the class. Participants will be responsible for providing the following:
- Black Development Powder
- Appropriate Brushes for Development Powder
- Magnetic Powder & Wand
- Unlined Index Cards (3”x5”)
- White Copy Paper
- Tape
- Scissors
- Ruler (Preferably 12 Inch)
- SLR Digital Camera
