9 am on the Wallace Drive Campus, sponsored by the Cardinal Foundation, a support organization of Gadsden State, and directed by Gadsden Runners Club. The Swoop Sprint 5k is a course registered in the GRC Grand Prix Series. Cash prizes will be awarded to the Top 3 overall male and female participants. 1st place -$100, 2nd place – $50 3rd place – $25. $25 cash prize for the best male and female who embodies the “Swoopiest Spirited” sprinter. Preregistration fee is $25. Members of the Gadsden Runners Club, Anniston Runners Club and Gadsden State students, faculty or staff receive a $5 discount. Registration includes an electronic chipped timing bib, goody bag, pre-race snacks and finish line food. An official race day t-shirt is guaranteed if registered by April 3.
