New students are those who enroll at an ACCS institution for the first time. They may be students who transferred in from another college or recently graduated from high school. Students who were dually enrolled and who have matriculated to postsecondary education after high school graduation are considered continuing students. While there is a small increase in new students, overall, there is a fairly large increase in “summer starts.”
